… a MellOnWheels Campsite Crockpot Recipe, as adapted
for the campsite, from Paula Deen’s “African Chop” Recipe

This is a very easy recipe, to make at the campsite.  The greens and onions can be prepped at home, ahead of time. You can even measure out the spices, and put them all together in a little zipper bag… label it “African Chop Spices”, with a sharpie.

This is one of our favorite camping recipes! I make it in the crock pot, but it could certainly be made in a Dutch Oven, over the campfire.  Since this will make dinner for two nights, I use a crock pot cooking bag… which makes clean-up easier, and the bags are also great for storing the leftovers in the ice chest.
