On June 2, 2012, we took The Little Teardrop to Aunt’s Creek Campground, in Kimberling City, Missouri.  Aunt’s Creek is a Corps of Engineers campground on the shores of Tablerock Lake, operated by Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation.

Update March 2014:  Unfortunately, due to “health reasons”, the owners of Compton Ridge Campground auctioned off  everything except the buildings, at the end of the 2013 season…  even the campsite electrical boxes and fire rings were sold.  The property is currently up for sale. It is rumored that a company is interested in purchasing it, but no announcement has been made. I will leave this review, for historical purposes.

On January 11, 2012, we took The Little Teardrop to Hunting Island State Park, which is in the Beaufort, South Carolina area.  Well, this is now my favorite place on earth! This entire 4-mile long barrier island is a State Park, beautifully wooded with pine and palmetto trees…  and then you have the Atlantic seashore, just a few feet from the wooded campsite. (more…)

On January 18, 2012, we took The Little Teardrop for a 3 night stay at the Laura S. Walker State Park.  This park is on the edge of the Okefenokee Swamp, in Hoboken, Georgia… just a few miles from Waycross, Georgia. (more…)

In late August of 2011, we had the pleasure of taking The Little Teardrop on a seven day trip to Buffalo Point National Campground, in Yellville, Arkansas… which is on the Buffalo National River. This was our tenth trip to the Buffalo River, and we always stay at Buffalo Point. (more…)

In March of 2011,  we hooked up the little teardrop, and took it to the Mark Twain National Forest.  We stayed at  Cobb Ridge Campground,  in Chadwick, Missouri (close to Ozark/Sparta, MO).  We loved this campground… absolutely LOVED the forest.  (more…)
